Marilyn holds a Master of Counselling and an Honors degree in Psychological Sciences and is an accredited play therapist and an educational therapist.
She has experience working with adults, adolescents and children. With regard to adults, Marilyn likes to support those with immediate challenges in areas such as anxiety, stress, depression, self esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, parenting challenges and other life needs. She works with children with special needs, learning needs, and behavioral issues in various settings such as preschools, primary schools and family service centers providing educational therapy, play therapy and counselling. She also supervises trainee play therapists for their practicum work.
She began her journey as an early educator working with mainstream students, and students with special needs and moved on to do therapy work. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, and spending quality time with her family.
Marilyn is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Play Therapy international, UK and Play Therapy, Singapore. She is also the Executive Coordinator of Play Therapy Singapore as well. Currently, she is working towards to attain more skills and experience so as to extend her services to more population.
